Job summary

Twin Health seeks a Staff AI Engineer to guide the Core AI team, shaping the AI-driven product using Gen AI, AI agents, and deep learning. This senior role oversees system-wide direction across multiple AI products, from architecture to tooling and standards.

You will mentor engineers, set evaluation/testing/CI/CD standards, and own the hardest technical problems end-to-end, building scalable AI solutions for personalized metabolic health insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production AI/ML experience leading cross-team initiatives.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, system design, code review.
• Experience setting organizational technical direction and standards.
• Experience deploying LLM-based apps, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and evals.
• Mentoring senior engineers and influencing decisions beyond your projects.
• Experience with Voice AI or VLMs is a plus.
• Proficient in Python and defining 'best practices'.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Statistics, or related field.
• Remote US-based applicants only; eligible to work in US.

Responsibilities

• Design core architecture for AI systems across multiple product areas.
• Set the technical bar for evaluation frameworks, testing philosophy, CI/CD for model behavior, and shared infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps proactively.
• Own the hardest, most ambiguous technical problems end-to-end.
• Build and ship conversational agents, deep learning models, and personalization systems.
• Improve AI/ML systems and services to drive health outcomes.
• Raise the technical level through code and design reviews (IC leadership).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to turn goals into designs.
• Other duties as assigned.
