Job summary

Twin Health seeks a Staff AI Engineer to guide the Core AI team and shape the technical direction of our AI-driven product using Gen AI, AI agents, and deep learning. This senior role focuses on architectural coherence, tooling, and standards across multiple product areas.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience building AI/ML systems in production.
• Strong software fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, system design, code review.
• Experience setting technical direction and standards across an organization.
• Experience building and scaling applications leveraging LLMs, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and iterative AI evaluations.
• Mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical decisions beyond your own project.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core AI system architectures spanning multiple product areas.
• Set technical bar: evaluation frameworks, testing philosophy, CI/CD for models, shared infrastructure.
• Proactively identify and address systemic engineering gaps.
• Own the hardest technical problems end-to-end.
• Build and ship conversational agents, deep learning models, and personalization systems.
• Improve AI/ML systems to drive behavior change and health outcomes.
• Raise the technical level through code/design reviews; provide IC leadership without direct reports.
• Partner with product, engineering, clinical/research teams to turn goals into designs.
