Job summary

Unconventional AI seeks a founder-level engineer to build its internal enterprise productivity suite powered by Agentic AI. You will architect bespoke applications, from smart recruiting tools to semantic search, and own the full lifecycle using Databricks Apps.

This highly autonomous role shapes the company’s technical strategy and day-to-day operations. You will drive build-vs-buy decisions, collaborate with stakeholders, and set the foundation for AI agents augmenting our workflows.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering (frontend+backend).
• Proficiency in Python and modern JS ecosystems (Node.js, React, Next.js).
• Hands-on experience building agentic applications with LLM orchestration (LangChain or similar).
• Strong SQL and vector databases fundamentals.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD, and end-to-end deployment ownership.
• AI-native development workflow using AI coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain bespoke internal Enterprise Productivity apps powered by Agentic AI (e.g., recruiting tools, contextual assistants, semantic search).
• Own full lifecycle of applications, deploy via Databricks Apps, ensure reliability and performance.
• Define requirements with internal stakeholders, prototype rapidly, gather feedback, and prioritize the roadmap.
• Drive build-vs-buy decisions and set technical strategy for AI agents throughout operations.
