Job summary

Traba is hiring a Staff Agent Engineer to lead the development of our agent platform, the layer that orchestrates data, systems integration, and autonomous workflows across our facility operations. You will shape core architecture and model strategy, drive evaluation, and set the bar for quality in a 0-to-1 product environment.

You’ll work closely with the CTO, product, and customers to design, deploy, and scale agents, harnesses, and memory patterns, while mentoring engineers and defining

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with 2+ years on LLM- or agent-based systems.
• Strong in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js with distributed systems design.
• Owned production agent systems: orchestration, retrieval, evals, observability.
• Background in vertical AI / AI-native data company, or forward-deployed engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect Traba's agent platform end-to-end including orchestration runtime and observability stack.
• Own foundational technical decisions: model strategy, harness design, memory architecture, tool surface.
• Work with customers in the field to translate insights into durable product patterns.
• Build evaluation as an engineering discipline with datasets, graders, and testing tooling.
• Hire and mentor engineers and set standards for quality.
• Partner with CTO, product, and ops on multi-year platform roadmap.
