Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close entries, reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Record payroll journals and support multi-entity payroll compliance.
• Maintain cash forecast and weekly cash activity in NetSuite.
• Support annual external audit with schedules and audit responses.
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Cross-train and back up AP/AR functions.
• Lead NetSuite implementation and workflow automation projects.
• Partner with leadership on financial analysis and decision support.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and close timelines.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a highly visible role supporting the full accounting cycle in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and have real exposure to strategic initiatives, including a NetSuite implementation and ongoing process automation efforts. Our client is seeking a self-motivated candidate who can quickly grow into a more senior-level role.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages
• Record payroll journal entries and support multi-entity payroll compliance
• Maintain the cash forecast and record weekly cash activity in NetSuite
• Support the annual external audit by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests
• Maintain strong internal controls across all entities and ensure documentation is audit-ready
• Cross-train and serve as backup to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Lead and participate in special projects, including NetSuite implementation and workflow automation
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on financial analysis and decision support
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, close timelines, and reporting

Requirements

• 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience applying accounting standards in practice
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite required
