Alt Legal is seeking an entry-to-mid-level Staff Accountant / Sr Accountant to support day-to-day operations across US and UK entities, contribute to month-end close,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 1–3 years of accounting experience, including exposure to AP, billing, and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and Maxio; familiarity with multi-currency or multi-entity accounting is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, high attention to detail, and clear communication across US/UK time zones.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with month-end close tasks such as accruals, prepaids, and journal entries.
• Support billing/invoicing for both US and UK entities across multiple currencies and manage full-cycle accounts payable.
• Maintain well-documented records, support intercompany transaction tracking, and prepare Deferred Revenue schedules.

Job description

• This is a hands-on, entry-to-mid-level Staff Accountant / Sr Accountant position supporting day-to-day accounting operations across US and UK entities.
• You will play a key part in the company's finance consolidation plan, absorbing core month-end close tasks and supporting billing, AP, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with month-end close tasks such as accruals, prepaids, and journal entries.
• Support billing/invoicing for both US and UK entities across multiple currencies and manage full-cycle accounts payable.
• Maintain well-documented records, support intercompany transaction tracking, and prepare Deferred Revenue schedules.
