accesso is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Accounting/Finance team with meticulous financial tasks in a 100% remote role focused in Mexico. You will help produce timely monthly statements and maintain internal controls while handling confidential information with discretion.

You will collaborate with Finance Manager and cross‑functional teams, using Excel, Sage Intacct, Planful, and AI tools to drive process improvements. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Accounting degree required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.
• Experience with IFRS is a plus.
• Ability to work in a remote environment.

Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant you will be supporting the daily and weekly needs of the Accounting/Finance team. We seek a motivated, self-starter who prioritizes attention to detail and accuracy.The Staff Accountant must be able to work with sensitive and confidential information, so trustworthiness is important, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills as we work in a team-oriented environment.

As a member of our Finance Team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization. You'll use your diligence, as well as your keen eye for details, to support our company and clients - ultimately impacting the financial trajectory of our company.

Location: Mexico -This role is 100% remote anywhere in Mexico.

Reports to :Finance Manager

Travel Requirement: Up to 5%

What you’ll be working on

• Provide key support to various finance functions

What you bring to the role

• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience
• Accounting degree
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent in both spoken and written communication) preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Commitment to producing error-free work
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of AI tools such as Copilot and Claude, and the ability to drive process improvements using AI
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency organizations
• Experience working with international groups and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus
• Ability to work in a remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work both in a team and independently
• Customer service mindset

Bonus points if you have

• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent with public accounting experience
• Familiarity with SAGE Intacct accounting software
• Exposure to international groups and IFRS is a plus
