Pearster is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a project for an international client. The role emphasizes general ledger, financial reporting, month-end close, and strong accounting controls. You will collaborate with global finance teams to ensure accurate records and compliance with US GAAP or IFRS.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, proficiency in ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. This is a fully remote position, offering USD compensation and opportunities for process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, general ledger management or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proven experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor balance sheet accounts.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal financial policies.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and financial reports.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments to improve accounting processes.
• Prepare financial reports and provide accounting insights to management.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes, with strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

This role will focus on ensuring accurate financial records, managing accounting activities, supporting financial closing processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

We are looking for an organized and analytical professional who can independently manage accounting responsibilities and collaborate with international finance teams.

What You'll Lead and Build

• Manage general ledger accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records.

What You Bring to the Table

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger management, or similar roles.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Must).
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar.

• Ability to work independently and meet financial reporting deadlines.

• Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS (Nice to have).

• Experience working with international or US-based companies (Nice to have).

• English proficiency: B2 or higher (Preferred).
• Based in LATAM.
• Availability to work full-time in a remote environment.
