Job summary

Talentify seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across a complex, multi-entity real estate organization. The role handles day-to-day accounting and collaborates with senior staff to ensure accurate, timely financial records across hotel, commercial, residential, and construction entities.

Responsibilities include month-end close, AP/AR processing, intercompany activity, job cost tracking, and lease accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; real estate/hospitality/construction is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic GAAP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close tasks for assigned entities with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger across hotel, CRE, residential, or construction entities.
• Process accounts payable and receivable with proper coding and approvals.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entity structure.
• Support monthly financial statements and schedules for assigned properties.
• Assist with job cost tracking and draw requests for construction/development projects.
• Support lease accounting and CAM reconciliations for commercial/residential properties.
• Gather documentation for internal/external audits and maintain audit-ready files.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to senior staff.
