Job summary

LAB Holding is seeking a highly organized Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, including retail, hospitality, and real estate. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Senior Accountant and will cover AP, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and a solid understanding of end-to-end accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of general accounting, bookkeeping, or staff accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting principles (AP, AR, reconciliations).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
• Enter, code, and process accounts payable invoices; gather supporting documentation and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with vendor setup, invoice tracking, payment preparation, AP aging follow-up, and maintaining organized records.
• Process payroll, including review of hours and tips, PTO reconciliation, benefits tracking, and coordination with payroll systems.
• Perform regular bank, credit card, AR, AP, and GL reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile daily sales and verify deposits, including POS data from Toast and Erply.
• Support the Senior Accountant with reconciliations, schedules, documentation requests, and reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and budgeting support.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis against budget.
• File monthly sales and use tax returns and assist with other filings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external filing requirements.
• Support ad hoc projects, reporting requests, and financial analysis.
• Assist with HR-related tasks and general office duties.
