Our client, a public accounting firm, seeks a Staff Accountant to join their Springfield, NJ office. You will record and maintain financial transactions, support month-end close, and prepare financial statements for client review.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, tax return preparation with professional software, and handling tax workpapers. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Formación

• 1–30 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Accounting and tax background.
• Excellent communication and detail orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Record and maintain all financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) for clients.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Prepare federal and state tax returns using professional tax software.
• Transition bookkeeping data into tax workpapers and ensure accurate reporting.
• Support sales tax filings and estimated tax payments.
• Serve as the primary contact for routine client questions about financial records and tax documentation.
• Maintain organized digital client files within secure document management systems.
