Job summary

Levelociti is seeking a Staff Accountant with 2+ years of public accounting experience to join our growing team. This remote role offers 85k-105k compensation plus bonus and full benefits, with mentorship and strong career growth opportunities.

Based in the Sacramento area originally, we value talent and provide a pathway to leadership within a dynamic accounting group. The ideal candidate will handle journal entries, close processes, GAAP-compliant financial statement prep, and audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with audit or general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support process improvement and internal control initiatives.
• Prepare and file various state and local tax returns as needed.
