Atlas is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Evansville, IN. You will perform reconciliations, prepare entries, and assist with financial reporting, audits, and budgeting. This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely financial data to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and journal entries.
• Strong Excel and accounting software proficiency.
• Audit support and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts to ensure accurate data.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries to fix discrepancies.
• Maintain and review accrual balances for expenses and liabilities.
• Prepare financial statements and analyses for performance insights.
• Manage daily banking activities including deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations.
• Assist with audits and data gathering for audit requests.
• Oversee accounts receivable reporting and collections.
• Support and monitor billing activities to ensure revenue recognition accuracy.
• Assist with financial planning and budgeting activities, including cost analyses.
