Applied Digital in Dallas is seeking a Staff Accountant to own payroll, debt, equity, and investment accounting, plus corporate allocations, in a fast-growing AI data center environment.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, coordinating with third parties and auditors to ensure accurate U.S. GAAP reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience applying U.S. GAAP (public or corporate).
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and roll forwards.
• Strong Excel skills (LOOKUPs, pivot tables) and ERP systems experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries for payroll, debt, equity, and investments per U.S. GAAP.
• Record payroll details and reconcile payroll registers to GL.
• Track debt activity and amortization; monitor covenants.
• Record equity transactions and maintain equity roll forward.
• Calculate share-based compensation under ASC 718 and reconcile reports.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly, annual close and variance analyses.
• Coordinate with payroll processors, equity admins, lenders; reconcile reports.
• Assist with SEC reporting support and SOX internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
