Job summary

Topgolf HQ in Dallas seeks a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, accounting for prepaid expenses, payroll, and construction/ fixed assets. You will coordinate with venues, participate in audits, and improve processes using AI-driven tools.

The role requires at least 3+ years of accounting experience, a solid GAAP background, and strong Excel skills; CPA is a plus. Hybrid work options may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• CPA a plus; auditing experience at a public accounting firm is a plus.
• Restaurant or multi-unit retail industry experience preferred; SEC registrants experience is a plus.
• Fixed asset or construction accounting experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and ability to apply technical accounting issues.
• Experience with large ERP systems; SAP a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF(S)).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build cross-team relationships.
• Well organized; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including external audits.
• Maintain, amortize, and reconcile prepaid expenses and record accruals.
• Record and reconcile payroll, commission, and bonus accruals; perform reclassing and true-up entries.
• Prepare monthly construction draws, process contractor invoices with GL coding, resolve liens.
• Serve as accounting contact for designated venues; support audits and improve processes using AI tools.
