Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in the United States.

The role focuses on payroll coordination, accounts receivable and payable, and supporting various accounting activities across the organization. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely processing of transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including significant Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent time-management and process-oriented approach.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software; QuickBooks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing activities, credit and collections, bank deposits, cash receipts, customer account maintenance, and accounts receivable records.
• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Collaborate with client representatives and internal teams to research and resolve billing, payment, and other accounting inquiries.
• Process payments and maintain accurate accounts payable and disbursement records.
• Assist with payroll processing, including reviewing time and expense reports.
• Assist with benefits administration, unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, and tracking leave balances.
• Prepare financial reports, account schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and closing activities.
• Research discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and support general accounting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support other accounting and administrative functions and special projects as assigned.
