Job summary

6 Degrees Group is seeking a Staff Accountant in Alpharetta, GA to join a fast-growing, high-visibility Finance team. The role focuses on monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis with exposure to senior leadership.

The position offers ownership across core accounting processes, including fixed assets, payroll accounting, and indirect tax, with opportunities to grow with the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger and month-end close knowledge.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and own balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analyses for management.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules, indirect tax filings, and payroll accounting support.
• Serve as a primary contact for audit requests and support tax automation processes (Avalara).
