6 Degrees Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Staff or Senior Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. You will work alongside the Accounting Manager, Director of Finance, and CFO to clean up processes and help shape how things get done as the company expands through acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2+ years of corporate accounting; public background welcome.
• Strong knowledge of GL, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• CPA or MBA a plus; self-starter in a changing environment.

A growing client of 6 Degrees Group is hiring a Staff or Senior Staff Accountant in Atlanta, GA.This company is growing fast through acquisitions, and theyre adding to the accounting team to keep up. Its not a well-oiled machine yet, so youll have real room to clean up processes and shape how things get done, working alongside the Accounting Manager, Director of Finance, and CFO. After training, the schedule is hybrid: two weeks a month fully in office and two weeks at three days in office, and the team is very flexible as long as the work gets done. If youre driven, take initiative, and want to grow with a company thats building, this is a great spot.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and analysis, including bank statements and expense accruals
• Assist with month-end close, financial statement prep, budgets, and monthly financial analysis
• Spot process gaps and recommend improvements as the company grows and integrates acquisitions

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1 to 2+ years of corporate accounting experience (public accounting backgrounds with some corporate exposure welcome)
• Solid understanding of GL, reconciliations, and month-end close, with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter whos comfortable in a changing environment, with a CPA or MBA a plus
