CAPA-Columbus Association for the Performing Arts is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the finance team and support accurate financial reporting for CAPA and related nonprofit entities. You will handle core bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance and timely reporting for Central Ohio’s cultural organizations.

The role emphasizes accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and collaboration with management on budgets and grants, contributing to CAPA’s mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of accounting concepts and proficiency in standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger schedules.
• Assist in monthly financial statement preparation.
• Prepare audit schedules and support non-profit tax filings and grant reporting.
• Support annual budget process and process improvements as needed.
