Job summary

Ohio History Connection seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, OH. You will oversee daily financial operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and support the CFO with budgeting and financial reporting.

The role requires 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and prior supervision of staff. Nonprofit/fund accounting experience is a plus, with strong analytical and systems skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience supervising accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and oversee daily financial operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and close processes.
• Coordinate budget inputs and financial reporting.
• Support audits and Form 990 filings.
• Manage accounts payable, payroll, and banking relationships.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
