Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a Staff Accountant to produce accurate financial information for management and external users. You will work with the accounting team across multiple sites to support corporate and site-level initiatives, ensuring timely reporting and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Big 4 or large national firm experience is a plus.
• Manufacturing accounting background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Reconciliation, support and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
• Overseeing and maintaining intercompany balances, monthly charges and reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory cycle counts and variances.
• Understand accounting cycles and apply this knowledge to support internal controls.
• Support external audits as required.
• Continuously improve the value of the Finance function and eliminate waste.
• Manage and complete specialized projects independently or as part of a team.
• Additional duties as requested by supervisor.
