Job summary

Atrium, on behalf of our client, seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to support cost accounting, inventory, financial reporting, and business partnering across multiple manufacturing sites. The role will oversee U.S.

fixed asset accounting and capital projects, ensuring accurate cost data and compliant financials. You will lead standard costing, manage inventory reconciliations and variances, and support month-end close, journal entries, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or inventory accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing, inventory accounting, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with large ERPs such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Oracle, preferred.
• Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, reserves, and valuation analysis.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization, transfers, and disposals.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Partner with plant, operations, and supply chain leadership on cost reduction and operational improvements.
• Support internal controls, SOX, audits, ERP improvements, and process automation.
