Job summary

Seattle Northwest Yachts is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial data, ensure accuracy and timely monthly closing. You will support the Accounting team with balance sheet schedules, intercompany reconciliation, and ad-hoc reporting for brokers, clients, and internal departments.

The role emphasizes accurate financial reconciliation, proper disbursement of funds, and adherence to internal controls within a marine brokerage environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in balance sheet accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing journal entries and post to general ledger.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and ~25 balance sheet accounts.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Post cash receipts and transactions to the general ledger.
• Reconcile trust accounts and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Support audits and reporting requests.
