Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the month-end close process, including expense accruals, fixed assets and ASC 842 lease accounting at scale.

Reporting to a Senior Accounting Manager, you will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, support external audits, and collaborate with AP, real estate, fleet, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financials. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, solid U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of corporate or public accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including accrual accounting and month‑end close.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting concepts.
• Intermediate Excel skills: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations in an ERP system.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Own expense accruals, fixed assets, leases, and prepaid expenses.
• Support month-end close and related checklists.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Assist audits with schedules, documentation, and responses to requests.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close processes.
• Collaborate with AP, operations, real estate, and auditors.
