The role demands the ability to rapidly learn processes, take ownership of month-end and quarter-end deliverables, and operate independently within a large, complex accounting environment, while collaborating with Real Estate, FP&A, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and fixed asset accounting.
• Ability to learn systems quickly and manage close schedules independently.
• Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute month-end and quarter-end close tasks, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
• Ramp up on existing processes and independently prepare, review, and sign off on close schedules and journal entries.
• Manage lease accounting close activities for a $2B+ ASC 842 lease portfolio.
• Oversee fixed asset close processes, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and roll-forward reporting.
• Validate lease and fixed asset data with Real Estate, FP&A, and Operations teams.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues to maintain accuracy across close deliverables.
• Recommend and support process improvements to streamline close timelines and enhance reporting quality.
• Provide audit support and prepare documentation as needed.
