Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This full-time, onsite role supports month-end close with ownership of expense accruals, fixed asset and lease accounting, and prepaid expenses.

Key responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and preparing analyses to support audits and reporting. 1–2 years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of corporate or public accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close; familiarity with ASC 842.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and ERP systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, expense accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and prepaid amortization schedules.
• Support ASC 842 lease accounting using LeaseQuery.
• Investigate account variances and support audits and financial reporting.
• Meet close deadlines and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
