Job summary

Smartsearchonline is seeking a Staff Accountant in Long Beach to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, GL maintenance, and AP processing.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience and strong GAAP knowledge. You will collaborate with operations, procurement, supply chain, and leadership to strengthen reporting controls and optimize cost analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, consumer products, or distribution.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounts payable processes and vendor payments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain general ledger and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Assist with ERP implementations and process improvements.
