Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Staff Accountant in Rockaway, NJ to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The role offers growth opportunities within the accounting team and exposure to a manufacturing environment. The position includes a quarterly cash bonus plan, 120 hours of paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, along with a 401(k) plan participation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Approximately one year of accounting experience in a high-performing environment (manufacturing or publicly traded company is a plus).
• Experience with internal controls and/or Sarbanes Oxley is preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist billing and cash collections responsibilities as well as manage incoming customer payments as needed.
• Gather documentation, pull sample data, and provide Controller with updated spreadsheets concerning company financial metrics.
• Support variance analysis, fixed asset tracking, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Help other functions and leadership adhere to the plant purchasing approval matrix.
• Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Journal Entries.
• Assist in updating and sending out the Flex Productivity report first thing each morning.
• Assist Controller and accounting team, with ad hoc requests for analysis and projects.
• Assist the finance team with timely close procedures, financial statement schedules, and trial balance reviews.
• Assist Accounts Payable activities such as invoice entry and payment preparation as needed.
• Support plant Sarbanes Oxley goals and perform accounting tasks in accordance with company policies.
• Learn the company’s approach to internal controls and apply it in practice and assist broader accounting team when internal audits occur.
