Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Accountant in the South Gate area to perform month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and SOX controls support. You will collaborate with finance staff, ensure compliance with GAAP, and help maintain asset and cash flow records.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/Business, ERP/Excel proficiency, and about one year of relevant experience. Manufacturing familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required.
• Extensive experience with ERP systems and Excel.
• CPA and/or CMA designation highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Prepare monthly closing entries and adjustments to records.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers; research discrepancies.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and budget prep with management.
• Ensure SOX compliance and participate in internal controls tests.
• Support fixed assets accounting and depreciation reporting.
