Job summary

Eastern Airlines in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, producing financial reports such as the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

You will work with the accounting and finance team, support month-end close, reconcile accounts, prepare journals, and assist with audits and tax processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• 4–5 years of progressive experience in an accounting department with GL system experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting journals, evaluate reports, and support month-end activities.
• Participate in structured month end reviews to confirm correctness.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Contribute to development of new or amended accounting systems and procedures.
• Perform monthly bank statement review and reconcile with GL.
• Assist with annual audits and tax processes/provisioning.
