Job summary

Eastern Airlines in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Staff Accountant/Sr. Staff Accountant for a full-time exempt role reporting to the Company Controller.

You will manage general ledger integrity and produce accurate financial reports, working with banks on treasury tasks and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience, and familiarity with GL systems; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• 4–5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting journals and support month-end activities.
• Perform monthly reviews to confirm record accuracy.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Develop and update accounting systems and procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger balances monthly.
• Support annual audit preparations and taxation processes.
• Assist with audit findings resolution and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with Controller and CFO on finance tasks.
