Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Danvers, MA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. The role supports day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and inventory-related accounting, with emphasis on accuracy and process improvements.

You will assist with journal entries, balance sheet and P&L analysis, and collaborate with AP/AR and audit preparation. Manufacturing or inventory experience is a plus, and strong Excel and ERP skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• General accounting experience.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support AP and AR functions.
• Assist with balance sheet and P&L accounting.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Support inventory counts and audits.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support additional accounting projects as needed.
