Job summary

Worldwide Power Products, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant in Aldine to support daily accounting for our Distribution and Rental business. You will handle inventory and account reconciliations, purchase orders, customer invoicing, gross profit analysis, and month-end close activities, working with Distribution Operations and Corporate Accounting.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close preferred.
• Inventory accounting or inventory reconciliation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in distribution, equipment, rental, wholesale, manufacturing, or another inventory-intensive environment is a plus.
• Experience with purchasing or purchase-order processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations of Distribution and Rental inventory between POR and QuickBooks, researching discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Maintain inventory reconciliation schedules and assist with physical counts and adjustments.
• Create and monitor Distribution purchase orders; resolve coding, receiving, and purchasing discrepancies.
• Support invoicing and ensure invoices are recorded accurately in QuickBooks.
• Research missing or duplicated transactions and resolve billing issues.
• Prepare gross profit and COGS reconciliations and analyze revenue, inventory costs, and margins.
