Novogradac & Company LLP is offering Staff Accountant Interns for the busy season 2027 (January to March 2027) in Michigan. This internship provides hands-on experience in audit, tax preparation and research within a growing national CPA firm and aims to develop future leaders.

You will contribute to designated engagements under supervision, perform business research, build client relationships, and gain exposure to both tax and audit processes.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (degree a plus).
• GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Prefer completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and CPA exam eligibility.
• Solid understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work under supervision and accept feedback.
• Collaborative, team-oriented, and client-focused.
• Strong Office skills (Word & Excel) and report-writing tools.

Responsabilités

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by your Supervisor or Manager
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements
• Conduct business-specific research - gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations to principals and partners
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow-through
• Other duties and projects as assigned
