CoreSite is seeking a Staff Accountant II in Denver to support accounting and financial reporting for owned and leased data center properties and corporate offices. The role covers GL accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis, with emphasis on GAAP/SOX compliance and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with month-end close in an accrual-based environment.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial statements, reporting packages, and analyses.
• Conduct variance analysis against forecasts, budgets, and historical results.
• Prepare fixed asset reports and accrual analyses.
• Ensure GAAP and SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Support audits with timely, accurate financial information.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Property Management teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and ERP enhancements.
