Job summary

CoreSite is seeking an Accounting Lead in Denver to oversee the general ledger for all entities and perform complex accounting tasks with a hands‑on approach. You’ll ensure GAAP compliance, SOX controls, and timely month‑end close, while mentoring staff and supporting audits.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, asset reporting and collaborating with external auditors. A CPA and REIT/tech experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or Master’s degree (Accounting preferred).
• Minimum five years accounting experience required.
• Experience in monthly close process required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley preferred.
• CPA license preferred; real estate or tech experience valuable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly journal entries, reconciliations and close packages.
• Train and mentor accounting staff; act as back‑up during absences.
• Support tenant expense recoveries, audits, and internal reporting.
• Assist with audits and drive policy improvements across the team.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
