Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team. You will assist with month-end close, internal controls, external reporting, tax filings, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/Office skills; ERP systems experience is a plus. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end close and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules for reporting and compliance.
• Support internal controls and policy enhancements.

What You Will Get To Do

• Assist in the month end closing process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for internal and external financial reporting and compliance purposes
• Assist with policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process with external auditors and tax consultants
• Support and assist the international consolidation process
• Complete tax filings and support (incomes, sales, property) as assigned
• Assist with tax provision schedules for domestic and international entities
• Work cross-functionally with company departments and external partners
• Assist with the continuous improvement of processes and procedures as company expands into other new and established markets
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization on a weekly/monthly basis

What You Will Bring

• Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Proficient in Excel, ability to learn ERP system
