Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Staff Accountant I to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting by recording journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting variance analyses in line with GAAP and SOX controls.

This role requires a B.S. in Accounting and proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with limited supervision. You will support internal and external audits and collaborate with finance and operations to improve processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Monthly analysis of balance sheet and income/expense accounts; variance analysis.
• Support SOX controls and maintain documentation; assist internal and external audits.
• Assist annual budgeting and provide enhanced reporting to management.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to improve processes and respond to requests.
