Job summary

Group O, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to oversee financial operations including planning, reporting, budgeting, and month-end close for assigned units. You will maintain general ledger integrity, assist audits and tax compliance, and drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems. The role requires independent yet collaborative work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong Excel and GAAP knowledge; proficient with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in development of annual budgets and long-term forecasts.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.
• Review labor costs by job and report variances.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
