Job summary

Austin PBS is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including cash receipts processing, revenue reconciliation, accounts receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and month-end close under GAAP.

The role is on-site with work-from-home flexibility, requires an accounting degree and at least two years of related experience; familiarity with MIP software and Excel is preferred. You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or related field required.
• At least two years of related experience required, non-profit experience a plus.
• MIP software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily bank review and reconciliations, including membership batches and card entries.
• Prepare and reconcile daily cash reports and upload memberships to MIP.
• Month-end close activities and general ledger maintenance.
• Invoicing of program underwriters and events; manage related software.
• Assist in revenue reconciliations between donor database and GL.
• Assist with audits and assist in accounts receivable collections.
