Job summary

Austin PBS, KLRU-TV is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations within a nonprofit environment. The role covers cash receipts, reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end close, with on-site work and some remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate has an accounting degree and at least two years of related experience, preferably nonprofit. Proficiency in GAAP, Excel, and Google tools is required, and MIP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least two years of related experience; nonprofit experience is a plus.
• MIP software experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Google Mail, Docs, Drive and Excel.
• Understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Daily bank review and reconciliations.
• Distributes ACH and maintains daily cash log.
• Prepares and reconciles daily cash reports.
• Assists in monthly close and general ledger maintenance.
• Monthly invoicing of program underwriters and events.
• Reconciles development donor revenue with GL.
• Assists audits and provides required information.
• Reconciles company bank accounts monthly.
• Scans and deposits major giving checks.
• Assists in accounts receivable collections.
