Job summary

Vivid Seats in Chicago, IL is seeking a Staff Accountant to strengthen financial operations and reporting. You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses across revenue, cash, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts, collaborating across teams to ensure accurate recording of marketplace transactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting activities across revenue, cash, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts through journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure transactions between buyers and sellers through our marketplace are recorded accurately in our records.
• Support and initiate timely payment of company expenses to vendors and employees.
• Maintain complete accounting records to support financial reporting, internal controls, and audits.
• Support the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements across accounting and the organization.
