Job summary

CFS in downtown Chicago is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting with hands-on accountability and exposure to strategic projects. This hybrid role offers visibility across the organization, collaboration with leadership, and opportunities to drive process improvements and system enhancements using Microsoft Dynamics.

Compensation ranges from $55,000 to $75,000 with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ year or internship of accounting experience in public accounting or a corporate environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes.
• Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, or similar ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations as the Staff Accountant.
• Support monthly close activities and maintain accurate financial records as a Staff Accountant.
• Assist with lender reporting, audit preparation, and compliance documentation.
