Job summary

OPENLANE seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Carmel, Indiana. You will maintain accurate financial records, perform journal entries, and support monthly closes in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, processing AP/AR, assisting with budgets and forecasts, and supporting external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close and prepare financial statements.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Process expense reports and ensure policy compliance.
• Support audit schedules and external audits.
