Job summary

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant in North Carolina to join a growing accounting team. The role supports day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and compliance with GAAP. Hybrid/onsite/remote options in Morrisville provide flexibility while maintaining strong internal controls.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in accounting, 1–3+ years of experience, solid Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems. CPA track is a plus, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Reconcile general ledger, bank, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Support AP/AR functions as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and audit prep.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
