Job summary

Allpoints Surveying in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with the accounting team to post transactions, maintain schedules, and reconcile subledgers to the general ledger, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and familiarity with GAAP.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years’ experience within an accounting department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or CPA equivalent is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of GAAP.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with MS Office tools, SharePoint, Tableau and PowerBI is a plus.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile subledger to GL.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally and professionally address individuals within management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and reporting.
• Support the Accounting Manager in posting transactions and maintaining schedules and reconciliations.
• Assist with audit by gathering evidence and preparing work files.
• Ad hoc reporting and project work.
• Assist with gathering budget support.
• Assist with establishing and recording processes after ERP integration.
