Job summary

Northbound Search partners with a top hedge fund in New York, NY to recruit an AP Associate for its finance team. You’ll gain hands-on experience with accounts payable and general ledger tasks at a leading investment firm, with room to grow on the buy side.

In this role, you will process invoices, payments, and vendor records; maintain W-9s; perform month-end close support; and collaborate with fund accounting, operations, and treasury to answer questions and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 1–3 years of AP or staff accounting experience.
• Hands-on general ledger experience: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Work with fund accounting, operations, and treasury on expense and payment questions.
• Support audit requests and special projects as needed.
