Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Financial Reporting in Milwaukee to prepare all aspects of the annual audited financial statements for hedge funds and private equity funds, including checklists and responding to client and external auditor requests.

You will produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statements of changes and cash flows), footnote disclosures and schedules; ensuring timely, accurate completion, coordinating with management and clients,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ (relevant) experience in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, time management, attention to detail, planning and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant – Financial Reporting is responsible for preparing all aspects of the annual audited financial statements for certain hedge funds and private equity funds including the corresponding checklists and responding to client and external auditor requests. This position will require regular interaction with team members and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

• Preparing financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes, cash flows, schedule of investments, and footnote disclosures including financial highlights;
• Understanding of hedge funds and private equity funds under administration (legal structure, investment objective, fee structure, etc.);
• Timely response to client inquiries, as required;
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements;
• Completion of special projects as required;
