Job summary

Sierra Vista Hospital in south Sacramento is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage payroll and accounts payable for a 171-bed behavioral health facility. The role supports Human Resources and ensures timely, accurate processing in line with corporate guidelines.

The candidate should have at least two years in AP/payroll, be proficient with MS Office, and able to handle journal entries and month-end close tasks with confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of accounts payable/payroll experience, preferably in a health care setting.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, payroll/accounts payable systems, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
• Maintain accounts payable system and ensure vendor payments per invoices.
• Code accounts payable and input into the system; reconcile vendor statements.
• Prepare monthly reports for the controller and maintain filing systems.
