Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience in public accounting, audit, or corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close.
• Experience filing sales and use tax returns, multi-state tax exposure preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare and file various tax returns related to transportation and fuel.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist treasury activities including cash management and reporting.
• Respond to government surveys and reporting requests.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances and communicate findings.
• Support process improvements for efficiency and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support special projects.
